A Personal Book Box - January
This year I decided to create and send a box of books to my nieces and nephew that live in Colorado. I am not entirely sure what made me decided to do this for them, BUT I had so much fun doing it!
I tend to collect a lot of used books and need to windle down my collection…. I leave a lot of books in Little Free Libraries, but I wanted to create themes with the books as well.
This project is PERFCET for that!
I made sure to include notes for each book and wanted to include a couple extra goodies as well. Of course, I had to include bookmarks and a notebook for each kiddo to write book reviews throughout the year. This something I really want to do this year too!
The first set of books I included were the secret The One and Only Ivan and The One and Only Bob. We read the One and Ony Ivan for our book club and ALL the kids LOVED it!
I also found this copy of the second book in series in PERFECT condition used for only $2! My daughter read it once and decided not to continue the series because she got roped into a different series…. Sometimes I feel like she has major ADHD with her reading since she likes to hop around from series to series. I personally can’t do that!
I also put in The Secret Zoo which was another book we read for book club. It was very well received by all the kids, even by my one kiddo who never gives me more than a 2/5 stars! I enjoyed the book quite a bit myself, but I tend to enjoy middle grade novels with a bit of mystery and magic.
I will be do this each month for this year and I am super excited! I hope the kids love it, because I know I will!
