Book Club Holiday Party and Book Exchange
This year was our second annual book club holiday party! It was such a great time to get together with the parents and have the kids spend time bonding. Sometimes homeschool kids miss out on the day-to-day socialization with their peers, and they need to time to just be kids and not part of a class. They definitely look advantage of the time they had together and ran around like CRAZY PEOPLE! And I LOVED it!
We did a book exchange game were they kids got to steal or keep the books they unwrapped and everybody left with a fun new book to read. I have instructions written on a die that was like, pass three times to three times to the right or trade with the person directly across from you…. it was simple and fast paced which made it fun.
I also pick out a book for each of my kiddos that I think they would enjoy! This is my favorite tradition as I have really learned what style of books and genres my kids like. I hope that they all leave feeling loved and seen, because I do truly love the kids in my book club, they make my day each time I see them!
Lastly, spending time with my fellow homeschool moms always fills my heart to the max!
